Jennifer, Direct Service Program Coordinator
She/Her/Ella
Jennifer is the Direct Service Program Coordinator working out of the Albany site. She provides support to the After & Out of School programming, co-facilitates psycho-educational groups for the school programming, supports the therapy program and supports outreach efforts in Linn and Benton County. She is excited to work in a prevention-based program where she can create a community and form relationships that will empower girls and increase their resiliency.
Jennifer graduated from Amherst College with a bachelor’s in psychology and is currently a student at Portland State University pursuing a master's degree in social work. Over the past ten years she has worked with diverse groups of people ranging in age from 3-70, with all levels of abilities and all over the world. She has been an English teacher in South Korea, worked in a domestic violence shelter and child welfare in Chicago, been a case manager in a community action agency in Oregon and is excited to work for an organization that believes in providing a safe space for young girls to thrive.
She would tell her 13-year-old self that you do not have to be perfect in order to feel like you are worth valuing. You are human and therefore will make mistakes and that's okay because you are human and therefore have the ability to grow
