Junction City Location Open House Success

It began when the Junction City Soroptimists reached out to Ophelia’s Place and asked us to bring our services to their community. After two years of raising donations and earning grants, the new location became a reality. On Feb. 24, 2018, the Junction City Open House drew in more than 100 girls, families, community members, community leaders, Soroptimists and staff to celebrate the new location. People were asked to create a leaf for our paper tree to leave as a symbol of their support for the healthy growth of girl. Together, they create a wall of “what advice would you give your 13-year-old self.” The Tri-County Chamber of Commerce welcomed us with a ribbon cutting to top it off.
