Orientation – Getting Started

Get started with Ophelia's Place.

Are you new to Ophelia’s Place?

Ophelia’s Place is a space for ALL girls ages 10-18 no matter their backgrounds or their experiences. Whether it’s after school drop-in to our space, virtual drop-in during an online video chat, therapy, or our activities, it’s important that girls and their parents feel confident that Ophelia’s Place is a safe, appropriate, and positive space.

For girls to participate in our programming, we require girls and their parents/guardians to complete an orientation with Ophelia’s Place staff. Meeting one-on-one allow us to get to know her, discuss her interests and needs, answer any questions she might have, and explain our available services.

Having an orientation also helps each girl and Ophelia’s Place staff create a sense of personal connection, emotional safety, respect for property, and confidentiality. And it allows parents to see our space, meet staff, and provide helpful information for supporting their girl.
