Programs and Services

Ophelia’s Place is a prevention based organization dedicated to helping girls make healthy life choices through empowerment, education and support.  We serve all female identified youth ages 10 – 18.

We  accept credit cards, cash and checks as payment for services and activities. A sliding scale payment option and scholarships are also available.



We provide, at no cost, a safe, healthy environment for girls from 3pm to 6pm Monday thru Thursday to:

  • Visit
  • Work on homework
  • Chat with a volunteer or staff member
  • Meet new friends
  • Read or just have a snack

We provide classes for girls, giving them life-long skills designed to empower and improve their quality of life. Examples include:

Girls Rule! is an Ophelia’s Place signature event, a day for girls 9-14 to join a caring adult in fun, creative, and educational workshops designed to enrich their relationship and make meaningful memories. Find out more…

Summer Programs

We provide opportunities during the summer for girls to build skills, self-awareness, and self-esteem while gaining new friends. Topics for the four day camps have included:

Strength-Based Therapy Services

We provide professional, individual, family and group therapy using a strength-based, goal oriented approach. We encourage young women to develop their voices, giving them the opportunity to talk about any issue important to them. Our therapists understand the needs of girls within the cultural and social contexts of our environment. Therapy is provided on a sliding fee bases. Thanks to generous donors, therapy services are provided to girls regardless of income level. Find out more…

Girls Rule! is a parent-daughter fair that promotes strengthening relationships between a girl and a caring adult in her life. This is a girl-led, collaborative event where adults can expect to learn and participate fully. Girls must be accompanied by an adult (as a pair).
