Parent-Daughter GirlCon

2019 Parent-Daughter GirlCon

See you next year!

Parent-Daughter GirlCon gives girls ages 10-18 and their parents the opportunity to celebrate and explore “geek culture.” From anime, video games, cosplay, technology to art, GirlCon celebrates fandom of all kinds, with a focus on STEAM themes: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics.

The 2019 Parent-Daughter GirlCon is over, but it was a blast. Springfield-based Guest Artist Kelsey Buzzell keynoted the event, and we had a slew of exhibits to explore:

  • Wand and Gauntlet Making
  • Bookmaking and typerwriter poetry
  • A 70’s-Style Gaming Living Room and Arcade Games (presented by SELCO)
  • Comic Construction
  • Game Demo by Pipeworks
  • A Robotics Exhibit by the South Eugene Robotics Team
  • Heroes, Villains & Vigilantes photo booth and bingo
  • Virtual Reality headsets, mini zines, button making and more with the Eugene Public Library
  • A Cosplay fashion show!

You’re encouraged to check back in during spring 2010 to learn about the next Parent-Daughter GirlCon!
